Swiss Dots & Scallops in Highland Heather

Prayers & Promises Stamp Set + Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die + Scalloped Blooms Dies

Highland Heather is this weeks Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop color..... and did I ever have fun making my project! Click HERE to see the original post on Instagram.

I used the Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die to create my background, layered scallops of vellum and cardstock, then heat embossed the sentiment. The Adhesive Backed Blooms were the PERFECT embellishment! Be sure to click through to see the inner card too! I used the Swiss Dots Hot Foil on the matte layer, and it was just the perfect inner finishing touch! I don't use Highland Heather much, but I do LOVE how this card turned out!

Every Friday I participate in the Monochromatic Insta Hop with the Crafty Collaborations team. I am grateful for that time to stretch and use colors that I don't normally gravitate towards.

There isn't one detail about this card that I am unhappy with. I love that I can see the dots through the vellum layer, and like I said above..... those adhesive backed blooms are just perfect on this card!

Prayers & Promises Stamp Set + Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die + Greenery Lane Stamp Set

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Basic White Thick: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Card front layer - Highland Heather: 4" x 5 1/4"
Large scalloped circle - Vellum: 4" x 4", use third largest scalloped die to cut.
Sentiment scalloped circle - Highland Heather: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", use fourth largest scalloped die to cut.
Inner matte layer - Highland Heather: 4" x 5 1/4"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Assembly Instructions:

Using the Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die, heat die using the Stampin' Up!® Hot Foil System. Layer Silver foil on face down, add cardstock, shim and plate. Transfer to Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine and slowly crank through. Peel foil off of cardstock. I suggest doing both the card front and the inner matte layer one right after the other, so that the hot foil system can be set out of the way.
Adhere card front layer to front of card base. Using adhesive in just a small circle on the back of the vellum, adhere the vellum to the card front.
Using Versamark ink, stamp sentiment on smaller scalloped circle. Coat in silver embossing powder, then heat set. Adhere to center of vellum using dimensionals.
Adhere adhesive backed blooms on sentiment label.
Using Highland Heather ink, stamp sentiment on images on inner message liner. Adhere to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.
