Balloon Festoon in Barely Blush

Balloon Festoon + Bordered In Beauty

Today is the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop, and this weeks color is Barely Blush.  I looked at all sorts of stamp sets to show off this color and I always came back to Balloon Festoon Bundle.  This was my first time using the new White Gel Pens for the "shine" on the balloons.  I love this extra detail.

I used a small blending brush to add just a bit of the Barely Blush ink to the edges of the balloons.... even on the Sunset Shimmer Vellum and the Pearlized Specialty Paper.  These two specialty papers just took the color lighter than the cardstock balloons.  I could have used the 2026 - 2028 In Color Dots, but I really wanted some extra shine, so I used the Sunset Sequins.

Assembly Instructions:
  • Adhere card front to front of card base.
  • Using Barely Blush ink, stamp star pattern on the large Barely Blush balloon.
  • Using Barely Blush ink, stamp confetti pattern on the large Basic White balloon.
  • Using Barely Blush ink and a small blending brush, add ink on the outer edges of ALL the balloons.
  • Adhere 3 large balloons and two small balloon to the card front using dimensionals.  As you adhere each layer, attach the "string" using a mini glue dot.  Angle the strings so that they can be brought together at one point.
  • Using the White Gel Pen, add highlights to the balloons.  Usually one shine point per balloon is plenty, but you do what makes you happy.
  • Adhere bow using a mini glue dot.
  • Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp sentiment.  Adhere sentiment to card front using dimensionals.
  • Scatter sequins on card front.
  • Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.  Adhere to inner card base.
  • Adhere remaining small balloon to upper left corner of message liner.  Adhere string.
How will you make your balloons?  Die cut from specialty paper and DSP?  Or use stamps?  The options are endless!
