I created this card as an entry for the Color INK and Inspiration color challenge on Facebook.
I chose to use the Painted Lavendar and Perennial Postage collection to make this flowery Mother's Day card. I'll be totally honest, Moody Mauve is one of my least favorite colors, but when I lightened it by stamping off once, I thought it worked well..... but YOU should use it at which ever color strength pleases YOU.
Cutting instructions:
- Card base- Basic White: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". This is a top fold card.
- Front matte layer - Garden Green: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"
- Card Front - Basic White: 2nd largest Perennial Postage Die
- Stem - Basic White: Scrap to die cut 1
- Tall flower stem - Basic White: Scrap to die cut 3
- Bushy Flower stem - Basic White: Scrap to die cut 3
- Leaves - Garden Green: Detail die cut 3
- Ribbon: 10"
- Inner matte layer - Garden Green: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"
- Inner message liner - Basic White: 2nd largest Perennial Postage Die
Assembly instructions:
- Using bone folder, burnish score line at top of card.
- Using Garden Green ink, stamp sentiment in lower left corner of card front layer. Adhere to front matte layer. Adhere to front of card base.
- Using Melon Mambo ink, stamp 2 tall flower stems in full color ink, and 1 more in a stamped off tone. Die cut the 3 flower stems.
- Using Moody Mauve ink, stamp 3 bushy flower stems. I lightened the ink by stamping off for each one first. Die cut the 3 flower stems.
- Using Garden green ink, stamp flower stems. Die cut.
- Arrange stems, flowers and leaves on card front. I used multipurpose adhesive to adhere the first layers and mini glue dots to adhere the upper layers.
- Tie bow and adhere with mini glue dot.
- Stamp image and sentiment on inner message liner. Adhere to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
