Sending Smiles and Whimsy Die

Today I am participating in the Crafty Collaborations Share it Sunday Blog Hop.

Last week I announced that I would spend the next month using all the new and returning colors that Stampin' Up!® announced in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  On this card it was a subtle use of Lemon Lime Twist - a returning color.  I wanted to use the Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon in the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, so I decided to use the Whimsy Die to frame my flower, color it in with the Lemon Lime Twist Blends and add the bow on the frame.   I chose my flower colors from the same Brights color collection: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

I enjoyed making this simple card and hope you are inspired to give it a try too.

Cutting instructions:
  • Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  This is a side fold card.
  • Card front: 3 3/4" x 5" - Use 2nd largest Whimsy die on this pc.
  • Inner message liner: 3 3/4" x 5" - Use 2nd largest Whimsy die on this pc.
  • Scrap to stamp and die cut sentiment
Assembly instructions:
  • On card front use Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends to color in "ribbon" of the Whimsy die.
  • Use Granny Apple Green to stamp stem of flower
  • Use Melon Mambo to stamp flower
  • Use Daffodil Delight to stamp flower center
  • Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp sentiment. Die cut.  Adhere using mini dimensionals.  Add bow to end of sentiment and overlapping at Whimsy frame.
  • Scatter Iridescent pearls
  • On inner message liner use Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends to color in "ribbon" of the Whimsy die.  Adhere to inner card base.
