Perennial Postage

Perennial Postage bundle

Perennial Postage bundle - detail view

Perennial Postage bundle - inner view

When I think of lavender fields, I think of warm sun, the low buzz of bees and the amazing scent of lavender filling the air.  Being in the middle of an arctic blast right now....... I'm enjoying my mental get away to a place that doesn't require layers of blankets.

When each new catalog is released, I join various groups that swap cards using the new products.  This allows me to receive samples of cards that may have used that stamps that I did not purchase...  This card is the card I created for a group of avid crafters with the release of the January - April 2024 Mini Catalog.

I used products from the entire Perennial Lavender collection in this card.  You can find this collection on pages 22 - 25, or the product links are listed below.

On this card I pre-dominately used purple tones, but I envision using many other colors with this stamp set.  I look forward to using blue, yellow, pink and orange tones.  I'm going to get lots of great use out of this bundle.

This card is pretty simple to make.
  • Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at. 4 1/4".  This is a side fold card.
  • Front matte layer is the largest Perennial Postage Die.  Adhere to front of card base.
  • Card front layer is the 2nd largest Perennial Postage Die cut from the DSP.  Adhere to front matte layer.
  • Stamp and die cut flowers using Gorgeous Grape on Basic White - Painted Lavender bundle.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp and die cut stems using Pretty Peacock on Basic White - Painted Lavender bundle.  Adhere using dimensionals.
  • Detail die cut 2 stems from Lost Lagoon cardstock.  Adhere using mini glue dots.
  • Sentiment - Strip cut 3/8", stamp sentiment using Pretty Peacock.  Adhere using dimensionals.
  • Linen thread bow.  10".  Adhere using rolled up mini glue dot.
  • Scatter gems.
  • Inner matte layer is the largest Perennial Postage Die.  Adhere to inner card base.
  • Inner message liner is 3 3/8" x 4 5/8".  Stamp image in lower left corner.  Adhere to inner matte layer.
I hope you will give this easy card a try!

Flight and Airy

Flight and Airy - Sale-A-Bration DSP

Today I particpated in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights.  The theme is Thank you or Gratitude.

The timing is always perfect for thank you cards.  I always need them.  It is always fits and is perfectly on trend every time you send or give a thank you card.  An expression of gratitude is sure to  bring a smile or warm a heart.

If you like my card, please vote for it by visiting this link: VOTE FOR ME

For my card today, I chose to use the Flight and Airy 12" x 12" DSP that you can get for free during Sale-A-Bration.  I knew as soon as I saw this DSP that I wanted to pair it with the Gorgeous Garden Dies.  The paper is just beautiful, with soft colors and loads of sweet birds.

This card was super simple to make.

  • Card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  This is a top fold card.
  • Card front: Basic White 4" x 5 1/4", with an overlay of Gorgeous Garden Die in Lost Lagoon.  Before I cut out with the die, I applied adhesive sheet to the back of the cardstock.
  • DSP bird cut out with 6th smallest Deckled Edged Circle Die
  • Vellum matte layer cut out with 7th smalled Deckled Edged Circle Die
  • Ribbon: 10" length
  • Inner matte layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Inner message liner: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • 3/8" strip of DSP along left side of message liner.

Inner view

In 2024 I have the opportunity to join the Crafty Collaborations group in a weekly monochromatic card challenge.  All the participants cards can be found on Instagram on what is called an Insta-hop.  When you click on each of the participants IG handles in the list, it will take you to their IG page to view their card.  This is my first time participating in Insta-hops, but really the big draw for me to this was that we are going to use all of the Stampin' Up! colors this year.  I am a total color geek, so to purposefully use every single color in the Stampin' Up! color palette this year will be fun for me.

Week one is Copper Clay.  I decided to do a bit of a recreation of a card that I did a few months back, but in monochromatic Copper Clay.  I love how it turned out!

Check out the Insta-hop starting on my page here

Instructions:
  • Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at. 4 1/4".  This is a top fold card.
  • Front matte layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
