My second card using the new Stampin' Up! Hot Foiling System! So far so good! Coloring the butterflies using the masks is so easy and just so beautiful!!
There are loads of videos on how to use this system.... and if you buy the system now, you will also receive the free virtual class. Click HERE for the e-brochure of products being offered right now.
The foil does have a different look if you use the two-toned cardstock versus the milled cardstock. The two-toned cardstock has a smoother finish and the milled cardstock has a bit of a texture. Personally I like the look of both.
Let me know if you have any questions about this process! I would be more than happy to offer guidance.

I wanted my butterflies to coordinate with the colors in the Moonlit Flora DSP, so I used Soft Sea Foam & Peaceful Pine inks with a blending brush to add color to these gold foil butterflies. The Dewdrop dots add just the right amount of subtle accent, without "fighting" with the gold foiling. One of my favorite detail is to beautify the inside of my cards. For this card I used one of the Everyday Arches dies to cut the inner message liner to match the outer card front. Then I added one single butterfly to the top of the message liner. So pretty!
