Pretty Poinsettia Bundle + Forever Plaid Embossing Folder + Stylish Shapes Dies

What do you think? Is it too early to start Christmas cards? I love making Christmas cards and am glad to be getting my start on them.

The impression dies from the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle create the prettiest flowers and leaves! Look at that dimensional detail! This bundle is available now. All the product info is listed with links at the end of this post. Have you used the impressions dies before? It's quite a simple process, although I was all thumbs at first.... it was just a new to me process that I needed to practice. The extra detail is so worth it!

Pretty Poinsettia Bundle + Forever Plaid Embossing Folder + Stylish Shapes Dies

The Forever Plaid embossed card front is a nice neutral that does not distract from the poinsettia flower, but you could easily use another embossing folder too.

Complimentary colors have always driven my creation process. I love the rich tone of the Golden Glow flower center paired with the Real Red poinsettia and Shaded Spruce leaves.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Basic White Thick: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Front matte layer - Shaded Spruce: 4" x 5 1/4"
Card front layer - Basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", this layer is embossed.
Flower - Real Red: 4" x 6", detail die cut 1 large flower, 1 medium flower, 1 small flower. This flower will go through the cut and emboss machine a second time, upside down and using the impressions plate. Follow the instructions that came with the impressions plate.
Flower center - Golden Glow: scrap to detail die cut 2 pieces
Leaves - Shaded Spruce: 3 1/2" x 5", detail die cut 2 of the leafy stems. These leaves will go through the cut and emboss machine a second time, upside down and using the impressions plate. Follow the instructions that came with the impressions plate.
Sentiment label - Basic White: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", use largest circle to die cut
Inner matte layer - Shaded Spruce: 4" x 5 1/4"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Assembly Instructions:

Adhere embossed card front layer to the front matte layer. Adhere to front of card base.
Using Shaded Spruce ink, stamp sentiment on circle label. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Assemble layers of flower using mini glue dots. Arrange leaves and flower on upper left side of the circle. Adhere using dimensionals. Add center to flower using mini glue dots. Add a Golden Glow dot to center of flower.
Scatter dots on card front.
Using Shaded Spruce ink, stamp fir sprigs in upper left corner and lower right corner of inner message liner. Using Real Red ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner. Adhere liner to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.
