Nature's Walk Birthday Card

Nature's Walk Collection + Gallery Bloom Dies - Words of Beauty Bundle

I created this card to participate in a team sketch challenge, and knew immediately that I wanted to use the Nature's Walk Collection. Besides the gorgeous DSP, there is also the Natural Hues 12" x 12" Textured Specialty Paper. I used that for the golden set of leaves.

I really wanted a wood grain frame, so I used the Woodgrain Wonders DSP #167428, that will be available to customers starting March 3. I like the extra touch of the Faux Bronze Pentagons that were added to the corners of the frame.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Mossy Meadow: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Card front layer - DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
Frame - DSP & Early Espresso: 3" x 4 1/2", Cut one Woodgrain DSP, Cut 2 cardstock
Leaves - Mossy Meadow: 4" x 4 1/2"
Leaves - Natural Hues: 4" x 4 1/2"
Sentiment label - Early Espresso: scrap to die cut label
Inner matte layer - Woodgrain DSP: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Inner message liner - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Assembly Instructions:

Using Mossy Meadow ink and a sponge dauber, I colored the edge of the card front DSP so that the white edge doesn't show. Adhere to front of card base.
Using Early Espresso ink and a sponge dauber, color the edge of the woodgrain DSP so that the white edge doesn't show. Adhere and stack the two cardstock layers and the DSP layer on top to create the sturdy frame. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Adhere the Mossy Meadow leaves using mini glue dots.
Adhere the Natural Hues leaves using mini dimensionals.
Stamp sentiment using versamark ink, and coat with white embossing powder. Heat set. Adhere to the frame using dimensionals.
Add pentagons to the corners of the frame.
Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp images on inner message liner. Using Early Espresso ink and a sponge dauber, color the edge of the DSP matte layer. Adhere message liner to matte. Adhere to inner card base.
