Gallery Blooms in Lemon Lolly

Gallery Blooms Bundle + Beautiful Motifs Bundle + Damask Embossing Folder

Last weeks Monochromatic color challenge was Lemon Lolly. I love yellow and I especially love this color because it is so versatile. It is a beautiful stand alone color, or gorgeous when paired with other colors.

For this card, I inked the inside of the embossing folder for this slightly distressed look. I love how the motifs look in white against the Lemon Lolly. Then I used Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends to color the flowers. I used a super light application of Soft Sea Foam for the leaves, just to hint at green but not be as prominent as the flowers. I wanted just a little more lift, so I added vellum die cut leaves behind the flowers. This card makes my heart sing.

Since this is a note card, I wanted to leave as much room for writing as possible. The Beautiful Motifs stamp set has a stamp that coordinates beautifully with the Damask Embossing folder that was used on the front of the card. Subtle and lovely.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Basic White Thick: 5 /12" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
Front matte layer - Lemon Lolly: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Card front layer - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5". This layer is embossed. I inked the inside of the folder before embossing.
Flowers - Basic White: Scrap to stamp and die cut
Leaves - Vellum: Scrap to detail die cut 2.
Sentiment label - Basic White: 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Inner matte layer - Lemon Lolly: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"

Assembly Instructions:

Using Lemon Lolly ink, apply in to inside front of Damask Embossing Folder. Emboss card front layer. Adhere to front matte layer. Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp flower stem. Using Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends, color flower stem. Die cut.
Adhere vellum leaves to card front layer. Adhere flower stem using dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiment label. Adhere to focal point using dimensionals
Attach bow using mini glue dots. Scatter pearls on card front.
Using Lemon Lolly ink, stamp image on inner message liner. Adhere to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.
