Today I am participating in the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop with the Crafty Collaborations Team.  This month is a sketch challenge.

I decided to incorporate some of the design into a fun fold, creating an opening in the center front behind the focal point.

Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base- Night of Navy: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
  • Center front matte layer - Night of Navy: 1 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Central focal point- Fresh Freesia: 1" x 5 1/4"
  • Front panels - DSP #1: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" - cut 2 pcs
  • Focal point banners - DSP #2: Die cut 8 pc using smallest long banner die in Stylish Shapes
  • Inner message liner: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Inner decoration: DSP #1: 1/2" x 5 1/4", DSP #2: 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Instructions:
  • Using bone folder, burnish score lines
  • Using Night of Navy Ink and blending brush, add ink to edges of front panels DSP.  Adhere to front panels on front of card base.
  • Using Fresh Freesia ink and blending brush, add ink to center focal point strip.  Emboss strip using Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.
  • Using Night of Navy ink, stamp sentiment on one of the die cut banners.  Adhere a second banner to the back.  Adhere remaining banners so that there are four double sided banners.
  • Adhere center front matte layer to left side of front card only so that it overlaps the right side and can still open.
  • Adhere top and bottom two banners (careful not to adhere to right side of card). Adhere CF embossed focal point.
  • Adhere sentiment banner using dimensionals.
  • Scatter gems
  • Adhere DSP strips to inner message liner.  Adhere inner message liner to inner card base.
