Two-Tone Flora

In early May I had declared that by the end of June I would have used all of the new Stampin' Up!® colors in my cards.  Well, there were 2 colors that I had not used much or at all, Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path.  So I quickly whipped up these tonal cards today..... and I must say that I am rather pleased with the results!  And because I used 2 step stamping, it really did give the colors depth.

Cutting Instructions:

  • Card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  This is a top fold card
  • Front matte layer: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Card front layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" - this layer will be embossed
  • Inner message liner: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Scrap to stamp and die 3 large flowers, 2-3 large leaf stems, 2 small leaves, 3-4 small flower clusters
  • Scrap to stamp and die cut sentiment
  • Jute or ribbon: 10"
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using Painted Texture Embossing Folder, emboss card front layer.  Adhere to front matte layer.  Adhere to front card base using dimensionals.
  • On Basic White cardstock stamp flower details in full strength color, then stamp off ink before stamping flower (large flowers and small flowers). Die cut.
  • On Basic White cardstock stamp leaves in full strength color (large leaf stems and smaller leaves).  Die cut.
  • Arrange and adhere flowers and leaves on card front.  I like to use dimensionals under some of the layers to create depth.
  • Using embossing buddy, de-static cardstock.  Using Versamark ink, stamp sentiment on colored cardstock.  Apply embossing powder and tap off excess.  Use heat tool to heat set (melt) the powder.  Die cut.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Tie bow using coordinating jute.  Adhere using a mini glue dot.
  • Scatter gems on card front
  • Stamp image on inner message liner.  Adhere to inner card base.
