Waves of Inspiration Anniversary Card, with matching envelope

John found one of the Lincoln City Finders Keepers artisan glass floats

I just had to share with you this Z-fold card that I made to give to my husband for our wedding anniversary.

I used the stunning Waves of Inspiration bundle as well the coordinating Waves of the Ocean DSP.... then paired it with the Love & Happiness stamp set.

Yearly, we head to the ocean to celebrate our anniversary.  So when this bundle was introduced in an early release for the upcoming catalog being released May 3rd, I knew it was perfect for this purpose.

**Special note: The Waves of the Ocean DSP is only available until May 2nd.

This Z-fold is a folded size of 5"x 7".  The middle panel does not show in the pictures because that is where I wrote my personal message to my husband.... and I forgot to photograph it prior to writing in it.

I used the cloud edge from the Basic Borders Dies with a blending brush to create the sky/clouds on the card and envelope.I found it easiest to create the clouds by starting low and working up.  I rotate the angles of the clouds so they are not matched up.

Sponge daubers are great for applying more than one color of ink to a stamp.  I applied Pool Party to the entire wave stamp, then used the sponge dauber to apply Balmy Blue and Pacific Point before stamping the image.  The result is a great multi-color image

I stamped the pelican image twice.  Used the blending pens to lightly color in the image with the stamped ink.  Cut the pelican off of one set.  Wrapped the linen thread for a rope feel, then applied with dimensionals.

Cutting instructions:

  • Night of Navy cardbase: 5" x 11", scored at 2" and 4"
  • Pacific Point matte layer: 3 1/2" x 10", sccored at 6" and 8"
  • DSP: 2 pc - 4 3/4" H x 1 3/4"W, 1 pc - 4 3/4" H x 6 3/4" W
  • Basic White:  1 pc- 3 1/4" x 5 3/4",  2 pcs - 3 1/4" x 1 3/4", scrap for the wood pilings and pelican.
Product list is at the end of the post.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Hugs,
Teah
