Gallery Blooms + The Right Words

Today's Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop featured color is Strawberry Slush. I've never used this color before, and now that I have it is definitely a favorite! Strawberry Slush is one of the new 2025-2027 In Colors released by Stampin' Up! at the beginning of May.

To elevate this card, I heat embossed all of the flowers. Then I used a blender pen with the ink pad to paint the color in the flowers. This is the second time in a couple of weeks that I have used this technique. In past years I was clumsy and roughed up my paper, so I thought I couldn't do it well. Evidently I just needed practice :) I am very happy with how these turned out! Enjoy the free tutorial I have added below! At the end of this post is a list of all the products I used.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base- Basic White Thick: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". This is a top fold card.
Front matte layer - Strawberry Slush: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Card front layer - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
Flowers - Basic White: 5" x 7" (5 sets of flowers)
Sentiment label - Basic White: 1" x 3"
Inner matte layer - Strawberry Slush: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
Ribbon: 8"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, burnish score line well.
Emboss card front layer. Adhere to front matte layer. Adhere to front of card base.
Using Versamark ink, stamp 5 sets of flowers on Basic White card stock. Add Wow! Black embossing powder and set with heat tool.
Using Blender Pen, pick up Strawberry Slush ink from ink pad, and paint the color into each of the flower petals. If you haven't used the Blender Pen before, practice on a scrap of Basic White until you are satisfied with the results.
Using Blender Pen, pick up Granny Apple Green ink from ink pad and pain the color into each of the leaves.
Die cut out all 5 sets of leaves.
I chose to fussy cut the left side small set of leaves off of 4 of my flower sets. This was so that when I created the wreath, the overlap was more tidy looking. Save the cut off leaves.
Arrange and adhere the 4 flower sets to the card front, creating a wreath. Using mini glue dots, fit in the cut off leaves around the outer edges.
Using Versamark ink, stamp sentiment. Add Wow! Black embossing powder and set with heat tool. Die cut using large banner. Adhere to wreath.
Add bow using mini glue dot.
Scatter Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls to card front.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner. Adhere liner to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base. Adhere 5 set of flower to upper right hand corner of message liner (be sure to stay below the fold line of the card base).

Beautiful Gallery Birthday Card

Beautiful Gallery DSP & Gallery Blooms Dies

It is no secret that I love to make cards for my friends and family.... It is one of the reasons that I started card making, just so I could customize for those I love. I made this card for a dear friend that John and I just love so much. The Beautiful Gallery DSP is LOADED with beautiful images and I am especially pleased with a few of the images that can be for male or female cards. This DSP is truly limitless.

This card might look complicated, but it isn't at all! Especially since the frames and center all cut out in one action. I beefed up the frames by layering the DSP on cardstock, so each frame has some rigidity to it. I hope you are tempted to make this card. Once you do, you will be hooked on this super simple technique. Please enjoy the free tutorial listed below. You will find a list of the products used at the end of this post.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Secret Sea: 4 1/4" x 1l", scored at 5 1/2". This is a side fold card.
Front matte layer - Misty Moonlight: 4" x 5 3/8"
Front DSP: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2". Center focal point of scene in center of frame dies. This will cut out the center, small frame and large frame all at one time.
Front DSP backer layer - Misty Moonlight: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2". The frame dies will cut out the center, small frame and large frame all at one time.
Sentiment label - Crumb Cake: 3/8" x 2 1/4"
Inner matte layer - Misty Moonlight: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
Inner DSP strip: 3/8" x 5"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, crease score line.
Adhere DSP large frame to Misty Moonlight large frame, DSP small frame to Misty Moonlight small frame, and DSP center to Misty Moonlight center.
Add dimensionals to back of large frame. Stack the dimensionals 2 high. Adhere the large frame on the front matte layer.
Add single layer of dimensionals to back of small frame. Adhere the small frame on the inside of the large frame on matte layer.
Adhere center to the inside of the small frame.
Adhere matted DSP to front of card base.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment on sentiment label. Bevel cut end of label if desired. Adhere to lower right corner of small frame using dimensionals.
Scatter metallic gems as desired on focal point.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.
Adhere DSP strip along top of inner message liner. Adhere message liner to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.

Secret Sea launched earlier this month and I have already blown through an entire package of the card stock! If you are looking for an easy design, this card is sure to please. Personally, I am usually drawn to making cards that include embossing and layered florals. But, every now and then I enjoy making a less complicated card. Today's card fills my heart, the richness that the Very Vanilla adds paired with the Secret Sea is just right!

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Secret Sea: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". This is a side fold card
Back ground layer - Very Vanilla: 3 7/8" x 5 1/2"
Matte layer - Secret Sea: 3" x 5 1/2"
Panels - Very Vanilla: 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" (cut 3 pcs)
Inner message liner: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, burnish score line well.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp floral image on each of the 3 panel pcs. Using Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend pen, color flowers and leaves. Using Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend, add to leaves for depth. These colors lighten as they dry. But if too dark, use color lifter to lighten some areas.
Adhere panels to matte layer.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment on lower right corner of background layer. Adhere to this layer to front of card base.
Adhere matted panels to background layer using dimensionals.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp floral image on lower left corner of inner message liner. Using Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend pen, color flowers and leaves. Using Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend, add to leaves for depth. These colors lighten as they dry. But if too dark, use color lifter to lighten some areas.
Adhere inner message liner to inner card base.
