Season of Chic - Amazing card

Season of Chic

Season of Chic

Today I am participating in a Crafty Challenge Blog Hop by Crafty Collaborations.  This months challenge is color.   I chose to substitute out Pale Papaya for Copper Clay and Pacific Point for Azure Afternoon.  This was a more difficult color challenge for me personally.... 2 step stamping allowed me to work in half tones, which somehow made it easier for me.   I'm glad I stretched myself.  I hope you will take the time to check out everyones projects and see if there is something you would like to try for yourself.

Cutting instructions:
  • Basic White card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  This is a side fold card.
  • Basic White card front: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Basic White scrap to stamp 6 flowers, 6 shells
  • Basic White detail die cut: 3 1/2" x 4"
  • Basic White sentiment: 1/2" x 3"
  • Basic White Inner message liner
  • 22" Jute
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using blending brush, apply Copper Clay ink to 3 1/2" x 4" Basic White cardstock.  Die cut using the net looking detail die.  Adhere to center of card front layer.
  • Using Copper Clay ink, stamp 2 shells using the detail stamp.  Color over the shells using Wink of Stella to give a sparkle and to subtly spread the ink color.  Die cut.
  • Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp 2 shells using the detail stamp.  Color over the shells using Wink of Stella to give a sparkle and to subtly spread the ink color.   Die cut.
  • Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp 2 shells using the detail stamp.  Then using the filler stamp, stamp off once before stamping in the color on the shell.  Color over the shells using Wink of Stella to give a sparkle and to subtly spread the ink color.  Die cut.
  • Using Tahitian Tide ink, stamp 3 flowers using the detail stamp.  Then using the filler stamp, stamp off once before stamping in the color on the flower.  Color over the flowers using Wink of Stella to give a sparkle and to subtly spread the ink color.  Die cut.
  • Using Azure Afternoon, stamp 3 flowers using the detail stamp.  Then using the filler stamp, stamp off once before stamping in the color on the flower.  Color over the flowers using Wink of Stella to give a sparkle and to subtly spread the ink color.  Die cut.
  • Wrap jute around center of card front twice,  attaching ends on back.  Adhere card front to card base using dimensionals.
  • Arrange flowers and shells on card front and adhere using dimensionals
  • Using Copper Clay ink, stamp sentiment.  Angle cut ends of strip.  Apply to card front using dimensionals.
  • Apply gems to center of flowers
  • Tie jute bow and apply using mini glue dot.
  • Stamp flower on inner message liner.  Adhere to inner card base.
