Sometimes, I just need a jump start to get my creative mojo back on track. One of the best (and easiest) ways to do this is to "case" the Stampin' Up!® catalog! "Case" stands for Copy and Share Everything.
For this card, I definitely took inspiration from the image on page 38 of the Stampin' Up!® 2022-2-23 Annual Catalog. I used different colors, added more elements and created a bigger card.
This was my first time using the detail dies from the Charming Sentiments bundle. There are so many options! Stars, hearts, flame glow, flame, candle, flower and more!! And that is in addition to all the dies that cut out the sentiments from the stamp set! This really is a must have bundle!
I didn't have embellishments in the colors that I wanted, so I used my Stampin' Blends to custom color my Classic Matte Dots. I also added just a little shine with some Wink of Stella on a few of the stars.
Cutting instructions:
- Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". This is a side fold card.
- Matte layer for both card front and message liner: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Card front: 3 3/4" x 5". This layer does have one detail die cut out. The glow from the flame
- Scraps to cut out: candle, candle overlay, flame, stars. The candle and flame are attached with Stampin' Mini Dimensionals
- Scrap to stamp and die cut the sentiment. This is adhered with 2 layers of Stampin' Mini Dimensionals on each end and one layer in the middle where it overlaps the candle.
- Message liner: 3 3/4" x 5
