Quiet Meadow - any occasion card

Quiet Meadow bundle

Quiet Meadow all occasion cards ready for mailing

When I was a kid, my family lived in a neighborhood that didn't have sidewalks, and several of the side streets were not paved.  We lived on one of those unpaved streets, and what a treat it was to have such a playground of mud puddles, and wild flowers growing about.  My absolute favorite was the 1st of May, a day where as children we would pick those wild flowers, put them in paper cones, and deliver them to our neighbors front porches.  We would ring the bell, then run and hide....watching from behind a bush as the flowers were discovered and graciously accepted by the ladies that lived on our street.

One of those wild flowers was a flower we called Bachelor Buttons.  As soon as I saw the Quiet Meadow bundle, I spotted this flower die and I fell in love!  All those childhood memories came flooding back.  I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.

I enjoyed every moment of creating this card.  All of the stamps and dies used came from this bundle.

Quiet Meadow is a new stamp and die set that is available tomorrow, May 4th, in the new 2021-2022 Annual catalog!

I used 3 of the new In-colors that will also be available tomorrow, May 4th.

This card is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" with a top fold.
The Soft Succulent mat layer is 4" x 5 1/4"
The Basic White layer is 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

When stamping the background Basic White cardstock, I stamped off once for the Soft Succulent areas, and stamped off twice for the Fresh Freesia flowers.  I suggest practicing on a scrap of paper till you accomplish the look that you want for your background.

I sponged a little Soft Succulent ink on the stems of the Soft Succulent leafy stem piece, just to give it a bit of dept.

To create the flower at the top of stem, I cut the first layer in Evening Evergreen, then cut just the flower portion again in the Fresh Freesia.  Trimmed the base of the flower, and adhered it atop of the first layer of flower, giving the Fresh Freesia just a small pop out from the stem.

I used White Crinkle Seam Binding for the bow, and colored it with the Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends.

Tomorrow you will be able to purchase this Quiet Meadow bundle at my online store link
