Perfectly Pears Thank You card

Perfectly Pears Bundle

Sharing what you love is one of the best ways to lift and inspire others. I started stamping 6 years ago, and I can honestly say that I think about stamping and creating cards every single day. Today I am sharing a card that I created for the Crafty Collaborations Sketch Challenge Insta Hop.

Perfectly Pears Bundle

One of the things that I love about Stamping Up! products is that they coordinate all of the components perfectly. Cards like this one are so easy to layer up with all the beautiful patterned papers in the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper. All the product details are at the end of this blog post.

Inner view

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Secret Sea: 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
Front matte layer - Secret Sea: 4" x 5-1/4"
DSP #1: 2-1/2" x 5"
DSP #2: 2-1/4" x 4-1/2"
Focal point matte layer - Basic White: 3-1/4" x 3-7/8"
Focal point DSP layer - DSP #3: 3-1/8" x 3-3/4"
Circle - Basic White: 2-3/8" x 2-3/8", use 3rd largest circle to die cut.
Pears - DSP: Die cut using silhouette die
Sentiment label - Basic White: Scrap, die cut using label die from bundle.
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
Ribbon: 4-1/2"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, burnish scoreline on card base.
Adhere DSP #1 to right side of front matte layer. Adhere DSP #2 to left side of front matte layer, overlapping DSP #1. Adhere to front of card base.
Adhere DSP #3 to focal point matte layer. Wrap ribbon around matted layer and adhere ribbon ends on back with tape. Adhere to card front layer using dimensionals.
Using Darling Duckling ink, stamp grunge on die cut circle. Adhere pears using dimensionals. Adhere circle, straddling ribbon, using dimensionals.
Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment on sentiment label. Adhere using dimensionals.
Scatter gems on card front.
Adhere DSP strip on left side of inner message liner. Adhere to inner card base.

Snowflake Kisses - Coastal Cabana

Snowflake Kisses Bundle - Available starting Sept. 3rd

This weeks monochromatic Insta Hop color is Coastal Cabana. I realize that this would not be a traditional winter card color, but snowflakes is what came to mind when I started planning..... So I chose the Snowflake Kisses bundle that is one of the new Online Exclusives (Available Sept. 3rd). Item # 166023

If I make this card again, I might be tempted to use the blending brush on the back ground die, and keep the snowflakes in the foreground white. This is the first time for me to use this bundle and I totally recommend it! The stamp set is all sentiments, and the dies have several different snowflakes to choose from.

Snowflake Kisses Bundle - Available Sept. 3rd

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Coastal Cabana: 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". This is a top fold card.
Card front under layer - Coastal Cabana: 3-5/8" x 4-7/8"
Card front overlay - Basic White: 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Apply adhesive sheet to back before die cutting.
Front matte layer - Basic White: 3-3/4" x 5"
Sentiment label - Basic White: 2-1/4" x 2-1/4", die cut circle from bundle.
Snowflakes - Basic White: Scrap. Die cut 3 large snowflakes for outer card and 6 small snowflakes for inner card.
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3-3/4" x 5"
Ribbon: 15"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, burnish scoreline of card base well.
Pull backer from adhesive sheet from card front overlay, adhere to card front backer. Adhere to front matte layer. Adhere matted card front to front of card base using dimensionals.
Wrap ribbon around center of matted card front, and tape ends on back.
Using Coastal Cabana ink, stamp sentiment on die cut circle. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Using Coastal Cabana ink and blending brush, lightly apply ink to basic white scraps before die cutting snowflakes.
Adhere 3 large snowflakes to card front using dimensionals. Add Rhinestone jewels to center of these snowflakes.
Adhere bow to left side of sentiment, using mini glue dot.
Using Coastal Cabana ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.
Adhere 6 small snowflakes to inner message liner.
Adhere inner message liner to inner card base.

This weeks Monochromatic Insta Hop color is Real Red!..... One of my absolute favorite colors ever! I didn't have any Real Red DSP on hand, so I decided to play with some texture through embossing.

I love using my Stampin' Blends, even for monochromatic applications. These cups were super simple to color. I cut out a second set of bands for the cups so that they would look a bit more dimensional.

I've been itching to get started on holiday cards and this one was the perfect first card!

More Than Autumn - Inner view

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Basic White Thick: 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2". This is a top fold card.
Card front matte layer - Real Red: 3-3/4" x 5"
Card front layer - Basic White: 3-3/8" x 4-7/8". This layer is embossed.
Focal point matte layer - Basic White: 2-15/16" x 2-15/16"
Focal point background - Real Red: 2-3/4" x 2-3/4". This layer is embossed.
Cups - Basic White: 2" x 2-1/2". Stamp and die cut 2
Cup bands - Basic White: 1" x 2". Stamp and fussy cut 2 of the bands.
Whipped Cream - Basic White: 1-1/4" x 3". Stamp and die cut 2.
Peppermint Stick - Basic White: scrap. Stamp and die cut 2.
Upper sentiment label - Basic White: 3/8" x 1-1/2"
Lower sentiment label - Basic White: 1/2" x 1-5/8"
Inner matte layer - Real Red: 3-3/4" x 5"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3-3/8" x 4-7/8"
Twine: 28"

Assembly Instructions:

Using bone folder, burnish score line of card base.
Adhere embossed card front layer to card front matte layer. Tie twine and bow around center, sliding bow off to the far left. Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
Using Whisper White craft ink, slide ink pad across raised areas of Real Red focal point back ground. Adhere to focal point matte layer. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.... straddling the bakers twine.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp cups. Using Light and Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, color cups. Die cut.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp second set of stamp bands. Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp heart in center of band. Using Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, color heart. Fussy cut bands. Adhere to top of bands on cups for added dimension.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp whipped cream. Using Stampin' Blend Tone 800, highlight whipped cream. Die cut. Adhere to top of each cup.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp peppermint candy sticks. Use Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color. Die cut. Adhere to whipped cream.
Adhere cups to focal point using dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiments. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Using Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, color Rhinestones. Scatter on card front.
Using Real Red ink, stamp candy canes on inner message liner. Adhere to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.
