Decorative Trees - Garden Green

Decorative Trees + Wishing You Joy stamp sets

This week's monochromatic Insta Hop color is Garden Green. The plaid DSP set the tone for my card. Kind of a country feel. I think the tree from Decorative Trees stamp set makes a great little forest (or Christmas Tree farm). I'm loving the trees with this plaid!

There are no dies for this stamp set so I fussy cut the tree and star, both were very simple. I used 2 layers of torn paper to create the snow drifts, then added Wink Of Stella to the top of the torn edges. I also used the Wink of Stella on the main tree and star. Subtle but sweet.

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Garden Green: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".
Front matte layer #1 - Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
Front matte layer #2 - DSP: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Card front layer - Basic White: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"
Popped up tree - Basic White: 2 1/4" x 3"
Star - Basic White: scrap
Snow drift #1- Basic White: 1 1/2" x 4 5/8". Tear upper edge.
Snow drift #2 - Basic White: 1" x 4 5/8"
Sentiment label - Basic White: 3/8" x 2"
Inner matte layer #1 - Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
Inner matte layer #2 - DSP: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"

Assembly Instructions:

Using Garden Green ink, stamp forest of trees across card front layer. I stamped off to create the lighter trees in the background. Using blending brush, LIGHTLY apply ink to these trees.
Tear top edge of snow drift layer #1. Adhere to base of card front layer. Tear top edge of snow drift #2. Adhere to snow drift layer #1.
Using Garden Green ink, stamp tree. Fussy cut. Apply Wink of Stella to this tree. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Using Daffodil Delight, stamp star. Fussy cut. Apply Wink of Stella to star. Adhere to top of focal tree using mini dimensional. I had to trim mine a little smaller.
Using Garden Green ink, stamp sentiment on label. Adhere to tree using dimensionals.
Scatter pearls on card front.
Using Garden Green ink, stamp sentiment and tree on inner message liner. Using Wink of Stella, apply to tree. Adhere to inner matte layer #2. Adhere to inner matte layer #1. Adhere to inner card base.

A Child Is Born

A Child Is Born Stamp Set + Branching Out Dies

I have used A Child Is Born stamp set and Branching Out dies to create this card. I fussy cut the manger, sheep and sentiment.

A Child Is Born - Inner View

Cutting Instructions:

Card base - Basic White Thick: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Front matte layer - Pool Party dark side of 2 tone cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4", use largest die.
Card front layer - Pool Party light side of 2 tone cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4", use 2nd largest die.
Manger, sheep & sentiment - Pool Party light side of 2 tone cardstock: scraps
Inner matte layer - Pool Party dark side of 2 tone card stock: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3-3/4" x 5"

Assembly Instructions:

Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp the holy family and stars on the card front. Using Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends, color clothing. Using Pecan Pie and blender pen, color hair and walking stick. Using Light Natural Tones Stampin' Blends pen, color faces and hands. Adhere card front layer to front matte layer. Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp sheep. Using Whisper White craft ink and blender pen, color sheep. Using Light Natural Tones Stampin' Blends pen color the sheep faces. Fussy cut.
Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp manger. Using Pecan Pie ink and blender pen, color wood portion of manger. Using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends, color hay. Fussy cut.
Adhere sheep and manger to card front using dimensionals. I stacked the dimensionals 2 high behind the larger sheep.
Using Versamark ink, stamp sentiment, coat with Wow! White embossing powder, then heat set. Fussy cut. Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
Add Rhinestone to brightest star.
Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp small sheep and stars on inner message liner. Using Light Natural Tones Stampin' Blends pen color the sheep face. Using the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends pen, color in brightest star. Using Pool Party ink, stamp sentiment. Adhere to inner matte layer. Adhere to inner card base.

Gallery Blooms - Many Happy Moments

What do you do when you need a birthday card for someone whose favorite color is pink???? You make a card with pink flowers!! I love the Gallery Blooms bundle and how this card turned out!

The Branching Out Dies are easily my favorite background dies at the moment. And the Damask embossing folder adds such a classy touch!

Decorating the inside of a card is a must for me. It doesn't feel complete unless I do.

Cutting instructions:

Card base - Basic White: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4".
Card front - Basic White: 4" x 5-1/4" This layer is embossed
Focal point base - Basic White: 3" x 4-1/4", use 4th largest die.
Main large flower - Basic White: 2-1/2" x 4-1/2"
Smaller Flower - Basic White: 3" x 4-1/2", stamp and die cut 3 from this pc.
White leaves - Basic White: 2" x 3", cut 2 from this pc.
Sentiment label - Basic White: scrap
Inner message liner - Basic White: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"

Assembly instructions:

Adhere embossed card front to front of card base.
Adhere focal point base to card front using dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp main large flowers. Color using Strawberry Slush, Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. Die cut. Adhere to focal point base using dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp 3 smaller flowers. Color using Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. Die cut. Adhere to focal point base using dimensionals.
Adhere Basic White leaves to floral arrangment, using mini glue dots.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiment. Adhere to focal point using dimensionals.
Scatter gems on card front.
Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp image and sentiment on inner message liner. Using Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, color image. Adhere message liner to inner card base.
