Alpine Winter Suite + Dreamy Snowflake Hybrid Embossing Folder

 Today I am participating in the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  This month we are creating using a sketch challenge.  To create my card I have chosen the Alpine Winter Suite and Dreamy Snowflakes Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Both will go live on September 1st.  Below, I have added a picture of the collection and the embossing folder, as well as the item numbers. 

August 2026 Challenge

I love the subtle snowflakes from the embossing folder.  They create the perfect back drop for this card!  All the elements go together so perfectly!

In order to use all the elements that I wanted to, I enlarged my card to 5" x 7".  Snowflakes, snowshoes, an alpine cabin.....  So much fun to create with this collection!

The specialty paper in this suite is flocked!  The gems are snowflakes.  The detail on the snowshoes is so good!  I love them.

Cutting Instructions:

• Card base - Basic White Thick: 7" x 10", scored at 5"
• Card front matte layer - Secret Sea: 4 1/8" x 6 1/8"
• Card front layer - Basic White: 4" x 6".  This layer is embossed.
• Vertical strip - Cloud Cover: 3/4" x 6"
• Vertical snowy strip matte layer - Secret Sea: 2 1/8" x 5 1/8"
• Vertical snowy strip - Winter Dreams 12" x 12" Specialty Paper: 2" x 5"
• Focal point matte layer - Secret Sea: 2 5/8" x 2 7/8"
• Focal point layer - Alpine Winter 12" x 12" DSP: 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"
• Snow shoes base layer - Pecan Pie: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", die cut two pieces
• Snow shoes upper layer - Crumb Cake: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", detail die cut two pieces.
• Sentiment label - Basic White: 5/8" x 3"
• Inner matte layer - Secret Sea: 4 1/8" x 6 1/8"
• Inner message liner - 3 7/8" x 5 7/8"
• Inner decorative strips - Alpine Winter 12" x 12" DSP: 1/2" x 6"

Assembly Instructions:

• Adhere embossed card front layer to front matte layer.  adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.  
• Adhere Cloud Cover vertical strip to card front.
• Adhere vertical snowy strip to coordinating matte layer.  Adhere centered over the Cloud Cover vertical strip.
• Adhere focal point layer to coordinating matte layer.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
• Adhere upper detailed snow shoe layer to lower layer.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
• Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment to label.  Banner cut ends of label.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
• Add three snowflake gems above the focal point.
• Using Secret Sea ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.  Adhere DSP strip to left side of liner.  Adhere to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.
