Lovely Arrangmenst in Golden Glow

Lovely Arrangements Bundle + Stylish Shapes Dies

This weeks Monochromatic Insta Hop color is Golden Glow. I've used the Lovely Arrangements Bundle to design my card. The new Golden Glow Shimmer pen was perfect for coloring the highlights of the flowers! Click here to see the original Instagram post.

The white outline around a stamped and die cut image has always bugged me on a colored background, but I tried something new to me and it totally solved that issue. Since the flowers are on a Golden Glow background I outlined the stamped flowers with the Light Golden Glow Stampin' Blend (I used the bullet tip). I am so happy with how that softened the edge of the flowers!

The Golden Glow Shimmer pen was so easy to use, and while the photo's don't show off the shimmer it is there when you see it in person. Subtle, but that is exactly how I like it!

Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base - Golden Glow: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Front mattel layer - Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Card front layer - Golden Glow: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Focal point base layer - Vellum: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", die cut using largest circle.
  • Flowers - Basic White: 4" x 4", stamp & die cut 2 large flowers & 1 small flower
  • Leaves - Golden Glow: 2" x 6", stamp & die cut 3 pieces
  • Sentiment label - Golden Glow: scrap, die cut 1 label
  • Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Ribbon - Golden Glow: 15"
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using background die, die cut upper left and lower right corners to create peek a book effect.  Adhere to front matte layer.  Wrap ribbon around center of matted card front.  Attach ends with tape on the back.  Adhere matted card front to front of card base using dimensionals.
  • Adhere vellum circle to card front.  I used mini glue dots strategically placed so that they hide behind my flowers and sentiment.
  • Using Basic Black ink, stamp 2 large flowers and 1 small flower on Basic White cardstock.  Using Light Golden Glow Stampin' Blend, bullet tip, outline the outer edges of the flowers and the petals that appear to overlap lower petals.  Usually I would finish coloring the flowers before die cutting, but since I am coloring with the Golden Glow Shimmer Pen, my post it tape removes some of the shimmer..... so I die cut prior to adding my shimmer pen to the flower.  Adhere to focal point using dimensionals.
  • Using Golden Glow ink, stamp 3 sets of leaves and die cut.  Adhere to focal point using mini glue dots.
  • Using Basic Black ink, stamp sentiment on label.  Adhere to card front using dimenstionals.
  • Adhere bow using mini glue dots.
  • Scatter antique pearls on card front.
  • Using the back ground die, die cut in upper left corner and lower right corner of the message liner, catching just a few of the cut outs.
  • Using Basic Black ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.  Adhere to inner card base.
