Sunflower in Gray Granite

The featured color for this weeks Monochromatic Insta Hop is Gray Granite.  I was stumped as to what to do, so I reached for my tried and true Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

A soft rubbing of White craft ink over the Gray Granite embossed cardstock beautifully highlights the flowers. I have added a sentiment from the Prayers & Promises stamp set.

Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set

Cutting Instructions:

• Card base - Basic White Thick: 4 1/4" x 11"
• Card front layer - Gray Granite: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".  This layer is embossed.
• Front matte layer #1 - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
• Front matte layer #2 - Gray Granite: 4" x 5 1/4"
• Sentiment label - Basic White: scrap to die cut  using smallest arch die
• Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
• Inner matte layer - Gray Granite: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Assembly Instructions:

• Using Stampin' Up! Whisper White Craft Ink, lightly rub the inked pad across the embossed card front layer.  Re-apply as many times as needed to achieve the look you want.  My pad is just barely moist and it took four passes to achieve this look.
• Using Gray Granite ink, stamp sentiment on label.  Use dimensionals to adhere to card front layer.  I had a small amount of overhang that I trimmed off by hand.
• Adhere card front layer to front matte layer #1.  Adhere to front matte layer #2.  Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
• Scatter pearls on card front.
• Using Gray Granite Ink, stamp leaves in opposing corners of message liner.  Adhere to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.
