Delightful Wishes - Summer Splash

Delightful Wishes Bundle + Beautiful Motifs Dies

Why is this only the 2nd time I've ever used Summer Splash??? The two step stamping in the Delightful Wishes bundle gave me the opportunity to create a softness that I really love. As soon as I finished this card, I knew who I was going to send it to! This fresh and pretty color is this weeks Monochromatic Insta Hop Challenge color.

Delightful Wishes Bundle + Beautiful Motifs Dies

Once everything is cut out, the biggest job is arranging the flowers on the front of the card. I pulled the leafy stem from the Beautiful Motif Dies because I wanted to be able to tuck some of the flowers behind the leaves as I created depth on the card front.

Delightful Wishes
Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base - Basic White Thick: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
  • Front matte layer - Summer Splash: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
  • Card front layer - Basic White: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
  • Leaves - Basic White: Scrap, detail die cut 2 pcs
  • Flowers - Basic White: Scrap, stamp / die cut 9 flowers
  • "Wishing" - Basic White: Scrap, stamp and die cut
  • Sentiment label - Basic White: 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Use label die.
  • Inner matte layer - Summer Splash: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Ribbon: 10"

Assembly Instructions:

  • Using Summer Splash ink and a blending brush, add an oval of ink to center of the card front layer.  Adhere to front matte layer.  Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
  • Using Summer Splash ink, stamp 9 flowers ( I stamped off the background color for that lovely lighter shade).  Die cut.  Arrange leaves and flowers in center of card front.  I used a combination of glue, mini glue dots and dimensionals.  I chose to use double layer of dimensionals behind 3 of the flowers just to create extra depth.
  • Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp "Wishing" and die cut.  Adhere to front of bouquet using mini dimensionals.  Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp sentiment on label.  Adhere to base of bouquet using mini dimensionals.
  • Scatter gems on flower centers.
  • Adhere bow at base of bouquet using mini glue dot.
  • Using Summer Splash ink and a blending brush, add ink to 2 corners of message liner.  Still using Summer Splash ink, stamp flowers in the corners as desired.  Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp sentiment.  Adhere to front matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.
