Sunshine Vibes Bundle

The detail dies and happy stamps made this card so easy to create! Be sure to add Adhesive Sheet behind your cardstock prior to die cutting, especially for the pieces that have holes or are thin.  My first attempt was pretty messy because I used Multipurpose adhesive.  I wanted some depth of color in the arches so I used a couple of different applications within the Timid Tiger color range. For the largest, middle and smallest arches, I used Timid Tiger cardstock.  Then for the leafy arch I used Stampin' Blends Light Timid Tiger on Basic White cardstock, and for the Squiggle arch I used Stampin' Blends Dark Timid Tiger on Basic White cardstock.

I am so in love with the stamps in this set!  I can't wait to use them all!

Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base - Basic White Thick: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  This is a top fold card.
  • Front matte layer - Timid Tiger: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Card front layer - Basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".  This layer is embossed using the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
  • Focal point base - Basic White: 3" x 4": Die cut
  • Largest, middle, and smallest arches - Timid Tiger: 3" x 4" All 3 can be cut out at once on the same piece of cardstock.
  • Leafy arch - Basic White: Scraps, die cut 2 to create arch.  Color cardstock with Stampin' Blends Light Timid Tiger prior to die cutting.
  • Squiggle arch - Basic White: Scraps, die cut 1. Color cardstock with Stampin' Blends Dark Timid Tiger prior to die cutting.
  • Sentiment label - Basic White: Scraps.
  • Inner matte layer - Timid Tiger: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Inner message liner - basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Ribbon: 10"
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using bone folder, burnish score line of card base.
  • Adhere embossed card front layer to front matte layer.  Adhere to front of card base.
  • Adhere all arches to focal point base.  Using Adhesive sheet on the back of the cardstock prior to die cutting makes adhering very easy.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiment. Trim to size.  I cut mine apart so that I could adhere the "Sending" above the arches, and the "Good Vibes" at the end of the rainbow.  Adhere with dimensionals.
  • Adhere bow using mini glue dot.
  • Scatter flat pearls on card front.
  • Using Timid Tiger ink, stamp image on inner message liner.  Adhere to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.

Gallery Blooms Strawberry Slush

Gallery Blooms + The Right Words

Today's Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop featured color is Strawberry Slush.  I've never used this color before, and now that I have it is definitely a favorite!  Strawberry Slush is one of the new 2025-2027 In Colors released by Stampin' Up! at the beginning of May.

To elevate this card, I heat embossed all of the flowers.  Then I used a blender pen with the ink pad to paint the color in the flowers.  This is the second time in a couple of weeks that I have used this technique.  In past years I was clumsy and roughed up my paper, so I thought I couldn't do it well.  Evidently I just needed practice :)  I am very happy with how these turned out!  Enjoy the free tutorial I have added below!  At the end of this post is a list of all the products I used.

Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base- Basic White Thick: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". This is a top fold card.
  • Front matte layer - Strawberry Slush: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Card front layer - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Flowers - Basic White: 5" x 7"  (5 sets of flowers)
  • Sentiment label - Basic White: 1" x 3"
  • Inner matte layer - Strawberry Slush: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Ribbon: 8"
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using bone folder, burnish score line well.
  • Emboss card front layer.  Adhere to front matte layer.  Adhere to front of card base.
  • Using Versamark ink, stamp 5 sets of flowers on Basic White card stock.  Add Wow! Black embossing powder and set with heat tool.
  • Using Blender Pen, pick up Strawberry Slush ink from ink pad, and paint the color into each of the flower petals.  If you haven't used the Blender Pen before, practice on a scrap of Basic White until you are satisfied with the results.
  • Using Blender Pen, pick up Granny Apple Green ink from ink pad and pain the color into each of the leaves.
  • Die cut out all 5 sets of leaves.
  • I chose to fussy cut the left side small set of leaves off of 4 of my flower sets.  This was so that when I created the wreath, the overlap was more tidy looking.  Save the cut off leaves.
  • Arrange and adhere the 4 flower sets to the card front, creating a wreath.  Using mini glue dots, fit in the cut off leaves around the outer edges.
  • Using Versamark ink, stamp sentiment.  Add Wow! Black embossing powder and set with heat tool.  Die cut using large banner.  Adhere to wreath.
  • Add bow using mini glue dot.
  • Scatter Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls to card front.
  • Using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp sentiment on inner message liner.  Adhere liner to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.  Adhere 5 set of flower to upper right hand corner of message liner (be sure to stay below the fold line of the card base).
I hope you are inspired to try using a blender pen and maybe even recreate this card!
