Two Tone Flora and Country Bouquet

The January Challenge elements

Two Tone Flora and Country Bouquet

Split front fancy fold

Two Tone Flora and Country Bouquet

In keeping with my plan to make a new valentines card every day for 2 weeks, I decided to take advantage of the Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge Blog Hop to make a super pretty floral card.  For this challenge, the elements to be used are In-Colors, staple, Friendship, Masking and Fancy Fold.  I used all but the staple.  I chose to use the 2022-2024 In-colors palette and narrowed it down to Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet.  I love how bright and happy this card turned out!

Cutting instructions:
  • Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 6 1/4"
  • Front matte layer: 4 1/2" x 3 3/8"
  • Card front layer: 4 3/8" x 3 1/4"
  • Scrap to stamp and die cut 3 large flowers, 5 small flower clusters, 3 large leaf stems, 4 small leaf clusters.
  • Scrap to stamp and punch 3 small hearts
  • Scrap to stamp and punch 1 sentiment
  • Inner matte layer: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Inner message liner: 3 3/4" x 5"
Assembly instructions:
  • Using bone folder, burnish scorelines so that card closes in the middle of the front of the card base.
  • Using Parakeet Party ink, stamp leaves on  both sides of card front creating your own pattern.
  • Using a mask on the card front layer, using blending brush and Parakeet Party ink for all over coverage.  Adhere to front matte layer.
  • Using Sweet Sorbet, stamp off to stamp lightened flower.  Stamp detail using Sweet Sorbet ink full strength.  Die cut.  You will need 3 large flowers.
  • Using Orchid Oasis, stamp off to stamp lightened flowers.  Stamp detail using Orchid Oasis ink full strength.  Die cut.  You will need 5 small flower clusters.
  • Using Parakeet Party, stamp 3 large leaf stems and 4 small leaf clusters.  Die cut.
  • Using Sweet Sorbet, stamp 3 small hearts.  Punch out.
  • Using Orchid Oasis, stamp sentiment.  Punch out label.
  • Adhere sentiment to right side center of card front using dimensionals.  Arrange flowers, leaves and hearts on card front framing sentiment.
  • Scatter pearls.
