Christmas Blog Hop

Christmas Classics Dies, Snowflake Sky embossing folder, Alphabet A La Mode dies

Christmas Classics Dies, Snowflake Sky embossing folder, Alphabet A La Mode dies

Season of Chic, Very Best Occasions

Today I am participating in the Christmas Blog Hop with the Crafty Collaborators.  The only parameter was to show off what we've been working on for Christmas cards.  Below my post you will find a live list of blog hop participants.  I encourage you to visit each of the blogs to see all of the beautiful work.

For this card I really wanted to create an all white card.  I knew I wanted snowflakes, subtle iridescent sparkle, the word JOY.  I'm so happy with how well this card turned out!  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Cutting instructions:
  • Card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  This is a top fold card.
  • Card front: 3 3/4" x 5".  This layer is embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder.
  • Using the Christmas Classics Dies, cut 1 x square with beveled corners, 3 x holly leaves
  • Using the Alphabet Ala Mode Dies, cut 1 x J, 1 x O, 1 xY.  Apply Adhesive foam sheet to back of cardstock before die cutting.
  • Using the Chic Dies, cut 1 x large snowflake, 2 x small snowflakes
  • Inner message liner: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Ribbon 12"
Assembly instructions:
  • Adhere embossed card front to front of card base.
  • Apply die cut letters to square focal point.  Arrange holly leaves in upper left corner and lower right corner.  Adhere to card front.
  • Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Adhere 1 large snowflake and 1 small snowflake to upper left corner of focal point.  Adhere 1 small snowflake to lower right corner.  I used dimensionals.
  • Attach bow to upper left corner using mini glue dot.
  • Scatter iridescent pearls on card front.
  • Using Season of Chic snowflake stamp and Smoky Slate ink, stamp snowflake images on inner message liner.  I stamped off first to lighten the image.
  • Stamp sentiment on inner message liner.
  • Adhere inner message liner to inner card base.

Christmas Pinecones - Thank You card

Christmas Pinecones Dies

Christmas Pinecone Dies - Inner view

Today I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights.  The theme is gratitude.  I have so much to be thankful for and so enjoyed designing my card this month.

With me still regaining my strength I am grateful to be spending more time outside.  What a blessing to be able to enjoy the crisp clean air!  For this card, I went for a woodsy feel, using the Christmas Pinecone Dies and Timber 3D embossing folder.  Once I trimmed the die cuts apart to my liking, the woodgrain became obvious.  The card already has so much visual interest, that I just opted for a traditional side fold card.  I kept the tones rich, using Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow.  The Large Check Ribbon was the perfect accent to create that outdoorsy/homey feel.  I love it and hope you do too!

If you love my card, would you please vote for it at this link: https://bit.ly/Dec2023VoteForMe
