Kisses and Hugs Paper Pumpkin - Alternative #1

Kisses and Hugs Paper Pumpkin - Alternative #2

The purpose of this post is to show the benefits of the all inclusive kits that Stampin' Up!® offers.  The ease of assembly as well as the cost efficiency are attractive reasons to consider subscribing to Paper Pumpkin.

I also created alternative card designs using elements from the kits.

In alternative #1, I used the cut outs, stamps, and embellishments from the original kit.  Additional product details are listed at the end of this post.

In alternative #2, I used the card stock and stamps from the original kit.  I used the polka dotted cardstock to stamp the flower and die cut them.  Additional product details are listed at the end of this post.

I hope you enjoy my alternatives.

The Youtube video for the original Paper Pumpkin kit assembly is here:

Daffodil Daydream Bundle - card

Daffodil Daydream - card

Detail view

I created this card with the vision that I wanted the flowers to be popping up out of a window frame.  I'm already a softy for a woodgrain, so I chose one of woodgrain DSPs available from the "In Good Taste" Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up!®.

Card details:
  • Tent fold
  • Card base Early Espresso: 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
  • Wood Grain DSP backed with Early Espresso (use adhesive sheet) Die cut with Stitched rectangle dies. Create a window frame 5/8" wide.  Apply with dimensionals to card front
  • Apply Daffodil Delight ink with blending brush on Daffodil Delight cardstock before die cutting.
  • Multipurpose glue or adhesive sheet to apply detailed layer dies.
  • Arrange floral arrangement on cardfront, tucking stems inside the window frame.  Cut off excess length.  Use mini glue dots at base of flower and dimensionals at top of flower to create depth. Insert leaves, using mini glue dots to adhere.
  • On scrap, stamp butterflies.  Color in with Stampin' Blends.  Die cut.  Apply with multipurpose glue or dimensionals.
  • On scrap, stamp sentiment.  Fussy cut.  Apply with dimensionals.
  • Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" for inner card.  Stamp with flower in corner. Adhere layer centered on inner card.
  • Tie bow and adhere with mini glue dot to front of card.
Here is the YouTube video to see how I made this card.  Viewer beware, this card took extra long to create because I made decisions as I was recording.  You may want to fast forward along the way.

All the product details are at the bottom of this post.
