Words of Cheer - Christmas Card

Words of Cheer - Christmas Card

I am happy to participate in the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop this month.
The theme this month is "Seasons".  I chose Christmas Season, with lots of botanicals that represent the wintery holiday season.  Below the description of the making of this card, is a list of participants in this blog hop.  I hope you will take the time to enjoy the artistic expression presented by each of the participants, by clicking on the their blog links.  Please feel free to leave comments, as it helps me to feel connected to you.

Layered flowers and greenery

Note the envelope is also decorated.
Inner card

This is a top fold card, and the folded card base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
There are 2 mat layers, Evening Evergreen  4" x 5 1/4"
                                      Basic White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - Embossed

The Words of Cheer bundle make the assembly of this card so very easy.  I chose to add lots of bit and pieces of flowers and greenery to both the stamped bouquet and to the die cut "cheer".

I used Stampin' Blends to color in the bouquet.  Topped off with basic pearls for flower centers, and a simple bow at the base of the bouquet.

On the inside of the card, I did use a mat layer of 4" x 5 1/4" of Evening Evergreen, and a greeting layer of 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".  Corner stamped with the bouquet stamp.

The envelope I corner stamped the bouquet.  To color on the envelope, I did insert scrap paper so that the ink wouldn't bleed through.

I have included a product list at the end of this post.

Tasteful Touches - card

Tasteful Touches

I created this card to participate in the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop.  This challenge came in the form of a color scheme to be used in creating the card.  This time was an actual challenge for me when it came to designing a card, because I had no embellishments or ribbons in any of the colors to be used!

Details:
This card is a side fold card base of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
I fussy cut the sentiment, and popped it up on dimensionals
The background of the card front, I speckled using a Stampin' Write marker
Card front has been matted with a 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" Bermuda Bay layer and a 5 1/8" x 4" Cajun Craze layer.
Card front is Basic White 3 7/8" x 5"
A simple stamp detail on the envelope, really takes a card to the next level for the receiver.
Product details can be found at the end of this post
