Coneflower

 

Coneflower bundle + Branching Out Dies

I really wanted to play with this bundle because I knew the rich colors would be beautiful.  For the flower petals, I've used Crushed Curry cardstock with a little Cajun Craze ink applied.  For the stem and leaves, I've used Mossy Meadow, with Mossy Meadow ink for shading.

This is extra fun because the front flower flips up to expose a surprise message!  Then that butterfly on the inner message liner is just tooooo pretty!

Coneflower bundle + Branching Out Dies

Cutting Instructions:
  • Card base - Basic White: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Card front layer - Old Olive: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", Die cut using largest die
  • Flower petals - Crushed Curry: 4" x 7", die cut 1 mirrored flower head and 1 set of petals
  • Flower center - Early Espresso: scrap, die cut 1 pc
  • Stem - Mossy Meadow: scrap, die cut 1 pc
  • Leaves - Mossy Meadow: scrap, die cut 2 under layer leaves and 2 upper layer leaves
  • Sentiment label - Basic White: 3/8" x 1 1/4"
  • Inner matte layer - Old Olive: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", die cut using largest die
  • Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 1/2" x 5", die cut using 2nd largest die
  • Butterfly - Basic White: scrap
  • Linen Thread bow: 20"
Assembly Instructions:
  • Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp grunge on card front layer.  Adhere card front layer to front of card base.
  • Using Early Espresso ink, stamp surprise sentiment on inner flower flap.  Using Cajun Craze and a sponge dauber, apply ink to flower petals close to the center of the flower.  Adhere petals on top of flower flap.  Adhere Early Espresso flower center on flower petals.  This lines up perfectly.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp stem on Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Die cut.  Adhere to card front tucking top under the bottom of the flower card flap.  
  • Using Mossy Meadow ink and a blending brush, apply ink to leaf under-layers.  Adhere upper layer leaves on top.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Using Early Espresso ink, stamp sentiment on label.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  • Adhere bow using a mini glue dot.
  • Adhere message liner to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.
  • UsingTuxedo Black ink, stamp butterfly.  Die cut.  Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends, color butterfly.  Adhere to upper right corner of message liner.
