Beautiful Motifs

 Today I contributed this Lost Lagoon card to the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop on Instagram.  I really love the challenge of these weekly Insta Hops using all the colors of the Stampin' Up! color palette.

The detail die cut flower used in my focal point reminds of me the Queen Anne's Lace flowers that grew in my neighborhood as a child.

I used the Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends Combo Pack to create all of the Lost Lagoon shading in this bouquet.  The large leaf is Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend on Lost Lagoon cardstock.  The stems of the flowers is Light Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend on Basic White cardstock...... then I went back in with the Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend to add a darker color at the base of each of the flowers.  I love the final effect!

Cutting Instructions:

1. Card base - Basic White Thick: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  This is a top fold card.
2. Front matte layer - Basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
   
3. Embossed card front layer - Lost Lagoon: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
4. Large leaf - Lost Lagoon: 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" detail die cut
5. Flower clusters - Basic White: Scrap, detail die cut 2
6. Sentiment label - Basic White: 3/8" x 1 3/8"
7. Inner matte layer - Lost Lagoon: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
8. Inner message liner - Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
9. Linen Thread: 12"

Assembly Instructions:

1. Using bone folder, burnish score line of card base.
2. Emboss card front layer to front matte layer.  Adhere to front of card base using dimensionals.
3. Using Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend pen, color Lost Lagoon large leaf.  Adhere to card front.
4. Using Light Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend pen, color stems and leaves of the two flower clusters.  Using Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend pen, color base of each flower.  Using Light Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blend, blend the dark and light if desired.  Staggering, adhere to large leaf.
5. Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp sentiment on label.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
6. Using mini glue dot, adhere Linen Thread double bow.  
7. Scatter pearls on card front.
8. Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp image on inner liner.  Adhere to inner matte layer.  Adhere to inner card base.
